Raisin Indigo Ikat Pillow
Raisin Indigo Ikat Pillow
This pillow is made from a traditional tubular skirt (or sinh in the Lao language) which has been dyed with indigo and aniline dyes and then handwoven. The Phu Tai are known for their use of indigo dyeing with ikat or mat mii. In the mat mii technique, sections of yarn are dyed in indigo before the cloth is woven, creating beautiful wavy patterns.
The pillow is finished with organic cotton backing and closed by an invisible zipper.
